Please give FrostWire a try, during the last quarter of the year we have become very very lean, we used to have the Azureus (Vuze) engine under the hood, and we removed it completely and created a new libtorrent wrapper called frostwire-jlibtorrent, our client is better than ever and it includes deep search across many of the popular torrent indexes on the web (no need to deal with the shady experience of not knowing what to click to start a download, popups, etc., just search, download and play). Qbittorrent seems to use slightly less system resources on Windows as well, compared to Deluge. Transmission is a close third for me behind those two.Īll of this is based on my experience, so YMMV, but just thought I'd chip in my 2 cents. Long story short, after trying several clients Deluge and qbittorrent are pretty much tied for my favorite in terms of features, with qbittorrent slightly ahead just due to personal preference. The things that Deluge can do over qbittorrent are unnecessary for my needs, so qbittorrent is more than adequate. That being said, Deluge is also really lightweight, has equally good and simple to set up settings, and does pretty much everything qbittorrent can do, plus a couple other features that are nice. Currently I am using qbittorrent as my software of choice for a torrent client, because it does everything I need to, is lightweight, has a solid UI and the label system works for my needs, and it set up easily with my VPN.
